On Thursday night, December 6, the Philadelphia Flyers matched up against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets were going to come in hard after a high scoring 9-6 loss to the Calgary Flames two nights ago. It was a back and forth game with Columbus scoring two goals in the first, one in the third and the last ten seconds into overtime by Seth Jones. The Flyers scored on in the first and coming back with an impressive two goal period in the third. Flyers goals scored by Claude Giroux adding his 10th to the season, along with Konecny and Couturier picking up assists on the goal. Travis Sanheim scoring his first goal of the year with Giroux and Konecny picking up their second points of the night. Travis Sanheim added another goal for his second of the night and year and Voracek and Gostisbehere adding assist to finish up the night. Philadelphia FLyers lost 4-3 in overtime to Columbus Blue Jackets.
