Monday February 11, the Philadelphia Flyers welcomed in huge rivals and top seeded Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins came in hot with the best player in the world with Sidney Crosby and top players Evgeni Malkin and Jake Guentzel along with the backend with solid defenseman Kris Letang. Brick wall in the net with young goaltender Matt Murray. Sidney Crosby got the goals started in the first period off a miscommunication and wrapped the puck around to an open net to make it 1-0. Sidney Crosby has the most goals on the road in Philadelphia then he does in any other city. Nick Bjugstad extended their lead to two goals as he scored in the second period. Jake Guentzel scored in the third period adding his 27th goal of the year. Kris Letang notched an empty net goal making most goals by a defensemen in Pittsburgh Penguins franchise history. Jake Voracek scored the long goal on a powerplay notching his 14th goal of the year.
